Story
In a quiet, misty meadow touched by morning light, a little bee lingered behind while the others hurried on. She didn’t know why she felt the urge to stay, only that something in her heart whispered, wait.
The flower before her was small, bent by storms, and nearly forgotten. But she remembered the words her Maker had written into creation: that the last shall be first, and that even the least of these are seen.
So she stayed.
As she waited, the sun warmed the petals, and what had seemed withered began to bloom. From deep within the quiet, somber flower flowed a sweetness richer than any she'd ever found — a hidden provision, prepared just for her.
The other bees spoke of dry fields and empty blossoms, but she had learned what they hadn’t: when you follow the Shepherd’s leading, even the most unlikely place can overflow.
Day by day, in the seasons to come, it was in her quiet path that the meadow bloomed the brightest.
“The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”
— Lamentations 3:25
