Story:
The One That Glowed
In a sea of sameness, something glowed.
The other creatures moved in patterns — swift, silver, hidden — as if the only way to survive was to disappear. But this one had never been good at disappearing. Not because it tried to stand out, but because light simply followed where it drifted.
It didn’t ask for attention. Didn’t chase it. It just moved the way it was made to move, with a rhythm soft as breath and bright as wonder.
Some watched from a distance, unsure what to make of it. Others swam close for a while, comforted by the quiet glow. But even when the deep grew lonely, the light never faded.
Because this glow didn’t come from the sea around it.
It came from within.
“Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.”
— Maya Angelou
